Holy Family Programs for Public School and Home School Grade 2 and older
First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation
As Catholic Christian parents we have the awesome responsibility of being the primary educators in our child’s faith development. We bring our child into the Church in Baptism so that they may begin their journey in faith with the blessings of the waters of Baptism. The next step in that journey is First Reconciliation and First Communion.
If your child is in Grade 2 or higher in a Public School or Home School, he/she is eligible for the reception of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. In addition, we also prepare some children ages 7+ for Baptism. This preparation occurs in same class as the formation for First Reconciliation and First Communion.
All eligible students are prepared for these sacraments through the Crossfire Program at Holy Family Parish each Sunday following 10:30 mass from 12 noon to 1:30 beginning September 24 and culminating with the Vigil Minor on April 8, 2018. If you have not registered yet, it is not too late – simply call the office at 519-472-0057 and connect with extension 222 to talk to Sheila O’Brien.
Some older students in Grade 7+ are prepared with children their own age through our Crossfire Youth Program, which is our formation program for Confirmation for those Catholic youth in Grades 7 & 8 in our public elementary schools or are home schooled. Some of these youth may also be seeking baptism, first reconciliation and first communion. All are prepared in the same class, Sundays 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm beginning Sunday September 24 and concluding at the Vigil Minor on April 8, 2018.
